A science-backed daily rhythm of Morning Resource, Midday Reset, and Evening Reflect pauses to support changing needs and experience life more fully.
Morning Resource Pause — Ground. Orient. Fuel your day.
Midday Reset Pause — Check in. Reset your attention. Adjust where needed.
Evening Reflect Pause — Acknowledge. Appreciate. Reinforce what matters.
The Pause Trio™ provides a simple rhythm for checking in throughout the day to meet your changing needs and experience life with greater awareness, intention, and presence.
The Pause Trio™ is a simple practice built around three pause cues woven into the natural rhythms of daily life.
Rather than relying on motivation, willpower, or another task on a to-do list, The Pause Trio™ uses three daily time windows— morning, midday, and evening— creating opportunities to pause, check in, and respond to changing needs throughout the day.
Each pause is simple. Each pause is flexible. Each pause is grounded in the science of well-being.
Most importantly, each pause is lived in the real world.
In the body. In the heart. In nature. In movement. In moments of play. In everyday life.
Over time, these pauses cultivate greater awareness, intention, presence, and connection with yourself, others, and the world around you.
A pause to look back. To acknowledge, appreciate, and reinforce what matters.
A pause to reset. To interrupt autopilot. To check in with how the day is unfolding.
A pause to arrive. To ground and orient. To check in with your body, heart, mind, and energy. To resource your day with greater awareness and intention.
How am I feeling as I begin this day?
What energy am I bringing into this moment?
What intention would I like to carry with me?
How am I feeling right now?
Where is my attention?
What do I need in this moment?
What brought me joy today?
What can I acknowledge as a tiny win?
What would I like to remember?
Much of life happens on autopilot. Days pass. Schedules fill. Tasks get completed. Yet we often move from one moment to the next without noticing how we're feeling, what we need, or what matters most.
A pause creates space. Space to notice. Space to feel. Space to choose. Space to be present.
Tiny pauses may seem insignificant, yet over time they can change how we relate to ourselves, others, and everyday life.
The Pause Trio™ is intentionally built around the power of three.
Three pause cues. Three moments of awareness. Three opportunities to notice what you need and respond with greater intention.
Morning to Resource. Midday to Reset. Evening to Reflect.
Simple enough to remember. Flexible enough to make your own.
Meaningful enough to change how you experience your day.
During a conversation with my stepdad about the challenge of building consistent well-being practices into everyday life, he shared a memory of a classic marketing campaign to encourage drinking Dr. Pepper at three specific times each day:
"Drink a bite to eat at 10, 2, and 4."
A lightbulb went off. The idea was simple. Rhythms stick. People need cues. Time is universal.
What if those same principles could be used to create tiny pause cues for well-being throughout the day?
The Pause Trio™ evolved into three flexible pause windows:
Morning Resource · 7–10 a.m.
Midday Reset · 12–3 p.m.
Evening Reflect · 5–8 p.m.
No catchy slogan. Sugary drinks optional.

Miss a pause? Begin again.

It's about becoming more present in the day you're already living.
